A few years ago I was teaching the classic word game Hangman to a second grade student with autism. Although he would have enjoyed the game, he was more focused on the hanging part than the actual gameplay. He was curious and probably anxious about a person being hung, what would happen to them, etc. So enter today's free autism resource: Snowman.

Snowman follows the same basic principal as hangman, except that you are completing a snowman instead of a hangman. This version also has visuals for each player to help them understand the rules, and also to keep track and guess the letters. Use these as is, or laminate for repeated use and with a dry erase marker!

Don't forget to take a look at our other autism resources that are similar to this Snowman activity!
