Remember the good old pyramid? Well, apparently it was not so good. Several years ago the pyramid was switched to a plate, and today's free autism resource helps students learn which foods belong in each category.

To use the folder, laminate the pages, cut out the icons, and add velcro as shown in the sample below. Then, pick one of each food group and velcro them onto the fridge. Students will take foods off of the fridge and velcro them onto the correct food group. After the five foods are matched, the activity is over. Choose new foods next time to keep the activity fresh and generalize the skill!
