Challenge: Brushing your teeth or visiting the dentist can be overwhelming. Delta Dental Foundation wanted to make this easier for the autistic community.
Solution: Using fun and engaging tooth-themed characters, the All Smiles Shine app helps intellectual and developmental disability communities learn about oral health care, practice preventive care at home, and prepare for upcoming visits to the dentist with visual supports, tools for structure and regulation, caregiver tips, and more.
This is just the beginning. The All Smiles Shine app will evolve to meet the ongoing needs of the autism community and children with dental anxiety.
Challenge: Cultural institutions needed a solution for welcoming and supporting the Autistic community.
Solution: With over 25 partners across the world, InfiniTeach’s Access Platform for museums, aquariums, airports, airlines, events, and more, helps all families prepare for their upcoming experience. Our turn key partner-branded mobile apps feature best practice autism strategies to prepare for your visit, including: visual guides, communication tools, schedule, tips, and games. Online training is also available for staff.
Since the app launched, families have been so appreciative that we are thinking about their children's needs and working to make our space welcoming and inviting. Having an accessibility app is such a quick, easy tool to make those adventures out of the house more possible for all families.
Challenge: When the COVID-19 pandemic began, we needed ways in which we could support the IDD community in getting vaccinated.
Solution: With support from the IL Council for Developmental Disabilities, and in partnership with Best Buddies Illinois and Rush University Medical Center, InfiniTeach launched the Vax for All website to address vaccine hesitancy among the IDD community. The site features interactive stories and resources to help kids stay calm and relaxed when getting a vaccine.
Many of our athletes had been sidelined due to the challenges of accessing physicians during the pandemic. Thanks to InfiniTeach and CIMPAR, our athletes were not only offered COVID-19 vaccines and boosters, but also medical exams that are required for their participation in Special Olympics.
