Eileen Limon is a young autistic fourteen year old Chicagoan in high school. She has recently been made top of her class as a valedictorian in Tepeyac High School, an all-girls Catholic school. But due recent events of the COVID-19 pandemic. schools were forced to shut down until events have changed . Eileen had worked on a speech since she was chosen for Lady of Tepeyac. The school is planning a drive-through ceremony later this month in the school's parking lot. School administrators are considering having another ceremony in July if ever there is a chance. Throughout her years she never had an easy time in life. She struggled in school from elementary to middle school. She had trouble communicating  with others some understand while others didn't. She even recalls times when she was rejected in the playground, bullied and singled out. She also remembers noticing when people had lower expectations for her.Eileen wanted to prove them wrong, as well as prove to herself and others with autism “that they could do anything that they put their minds to,” she said. I hope Eileen continues to lead by example and to be an advocate to others.
