You often hear around the autism community that “Autism is not a disability, it's a different ability”. For this nonverbal adult on the spectrum his abilities stretch far and wide when it comes to his art pieces. Jeremy Sicile-Kira was diagnosed with both autism and synesthesia and shows off his awesome abilities in his first curated solo art show called “Inner Dimensions” – opening in downtown San Diego on April 11th.

Dreaming of His Art Show:

Jeremy's painting abilities first came to him in a dream, he says. And for many years in his dreams he would paint people's colors into portraits. Until one day he dreamed of hosting an art show. After he told his mother that he wanted to host an art show she said he would need to start painting in “real life”. His dreams are now turning into a reality and soon he began his wonderful journey with his amazing art pieces. It's no doubt that he's has learned many life lessons along the way and at the same time has a great opportunity to give back to the community. Ultimately Jeremy's paintings are a great example of all the possibilities individuals with autism can have. We just have to give them a chance to show their abilities to the entire world.
